People from Prosper Fingal worked with students and a local artist to create a colourful ten-panel mosaic in Skerries.

The project used art to build relationships, celebrate local places and show what people can achieve together.
A shared idea
The project began during the COVID-19 lockdown. People supported by Prosper Fingal’s Skerries and Seatown Road day services worked with Transition Year students from Fingal Community College and local artist Dave West.
The group designed ten mosaic panels about Fingal’s landmarks, people, wildlife and surroundings.
Creating together while apart
Much of the early work happened through online meetings. People made smaller sections at home or in their own setting and shared progress each week.
The meetings were also a place to talk about music, hobbies and interests. This helped people get to know one another as well as make the artwork.
A lasting community artwork
The finished panels form the Prosper Wall beside the Obelisk day service in Skerries. They celebrate creativity, ability, inclusion and connection.
